I realized the other day that when I was younger, the winter never bothered me. I actually enjoyed the snow and cold. But as I get older, I grow less patient with it, and with a busy schedule, staying active is harder than ever! But, this year I am going to do my best to get out, be social, and stay active; especially now that I've got a puppy who needs that - daily. To help me get the support I need while I'm enjoying my busy lifestyle, I am making sure that I take my daily vitamins. The

are the perfect companion to my hectic schedule. Centrum ® MultiGummies are gluten-free and have no artificial flavors or sweeteners*, B Vitamins aid in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins*, and Antioxidants such as Vitamins C, E and Zinc help support normal immune function.*

Now I just need to make sure I do my part in staying healthy by getting out and enjoying nature - even if it's cold. Here are five easy things you can do to get yourself out of the house this winter, without the need to lace up those running shoes!

1. Go for a walk through a tree farm, the park, or just around your neighborhood

Scout requires daily walks, but it's great for me, too! Even when it's below freezing outside, I always feel better after we've had our nightly walk.

2. Grab a blanket or a hammock, whatever you've got, and visit a nearby park for some fresh air.

My dad and I had a great time testing out my new hammock in the nearby canyon. Even though it was cold, I felt warm and cozy in my winter clothes and could have laid here all day!

3. Make it a goal to find the best local hot chocolate, soup, or whatever food you're craving.

Last winter my roommate and I made it a goal to find the best Thai food in Salt Lake City. So whenever we could, we would go and try the same dish from different Thai restaurants. It was such a fun way for us to get out of the house and enjoy each other's company.

4. Find your local events calendar and attend a few activities!

December offers a lot of options, from tree lightings to walk through Christmas displays. But it's important to keep that fun and excitement going through January and February, too! So check out your local events calendar and make plans.

5. Pack up the car and take a day trip.

There's bound to be some beautiful sights you haven't seen in your home town/state, and winter is the perfect time to take advantage of the local hot spots. They are much less crowded or overrun with tourists in the off season. So just bundle up and do some extra sight seeing while everyone else is staying in.
