Utah's National Parks—Zion Through My iPhone

Read about Canyonlands // Arches // Capitol Reef // Bryce Canyon

The last and final park on mine and Rachel’s road trip was Zion National Park. This is definitely one of, if not the most popular National Park in Utah. It’s filled with epic landscapes, beautiful drives, and exciting hikes. I’ve visited this park probably more than any of the others, and never tire of it!

Since Rachel was a newbie to Zion, she really wanted to do the Angel’s Landing hike. However, once we arrived in the park, we realized it was closed for maintenance. Bummed but not too discouraged, we hiked the Canyon Overlook Trail instead, which is a short and easy hike that offers just as spectacular views as Angel’s Landing (in my opinion). We also did the Weeping Rock and Grotto trails (which are both very short and easy walks), then began making our way back to St George, where we were staying.

On the way back to the hotel, we stopped at Oscar’s Cafe for dinner, where I had what was, quite possibly, the best burger of my life. (It’s not healthy, but you have to get the Avocado Chip Burger!) Then we made one last stop at my favorite souvenir shop, Fort Zion, for some Prickly Pear Ice Cream, and called it a night. It was such a fun day, and a great way to end our National Park tour!
